General information about training activity of Institute
The Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing with the cooperation of many Polish and international scientific and academic units offer training addressed to various groups of specialists working with people with hearing, voice, speech and linguistic communication disorders. Our training programs are also available to patients and parents.
The Institute has the accreditation of the Ministry of Health, the Postgraduate medical Education Centre for leading specializations in audiology and phoniatrics and internships for people specializing in otolaryngology. It also has an accreditation of the M. Curie-Skłodowskiej University in Lublin for running postgraduate studies in the field of surdologopedia.
Innovative forms and methods of teaching are used during the training programs. The courses are realized in the form of stationary courses as well as in the form of distance learning with the use of the Internet.
Without doubt, the modern training base of the International Center of Hearing and Speech in Kajetany is essential to the effective realization of the training programs. The facility has a large conference room suitable for 140 people and additionally 3 seminar halls with the capacity of 60 places. All rooms are equipped with modern audiovisual equipment and image and sound transmission systems between halls and also the internet. The unique function is the possibility to transmit 3D image straight from the operating theatre to the seminar halls. Thanks to this feature the participants of various otosurgery trainings can receive a realistic transmission from the operating area. The operating theatre is audio-visually connected with one of the most modern surgical practice workshops, thanks to which the participants may observe manipulations of e.g. an otosurgeon showing a certain type of surgery and practice them on temporal bones themselves. All types of trainings may be transmitted via the internet, thanks to which the method of e-learning may be used. The organization of the educational activities was created by the Training Team of the International Center of Hearing and Speech.
